PhD Thesis Title: The Intersection of Legal Regimes at the Edge of the Continental Shelf
Candice is a PhD candidate at the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS). She joined ANCORS in 2011 as a UOW Faculty of Law Summer Research Scholar after completing a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies with Distinction and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at UOW. Her Honours thesis was focused on the law of the sea – an exploration of the effects of rising sea levels on maritime zones.
Candice was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2012, but with her zeal for research and the sea, she was easily lured back to ANCORS. Candice’s current research concentrates on marine resources and legal concerns at the ‘edge’ of the continental shelf.
