30 years employment in the public sector across a range of government portfolios, including: primary industries, defence, environmental protection, fisheries, national parks, marine parks and land planning. Extensive work experience in compliance, environmental risk assessment, environmental law, environmental auditing, environmental impact assessment and protected area management.  Currently employed with Parks Australia, as Director for Commonwealth Marine Reserves Management (South).  PhD research at ANCORS, titled: Effectiveness of Marine Park Management: A case study from New South Wales, Australia. (Completed in 2014).
