Biography:

More than 30 years practical experience working in the implementation and support in fisheries technical assistance projects and programmes in Africa (Angola, Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Morocco, Mauretania, Mozambique, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Uganda, South Sudan),  in the Pacific (Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga), in Asia (China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Viet Nam, Sri Lanka) and in Latin America and the Caribbean (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Venezuela).

Experience ranges from Fisheries Technical Operations (Fishing Gears, Boats, Landing sites and ports), Community Development (credit, organizational development, community based rural appraisals, cooperatives and associations), Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Risk Management.  Project Management and financial control and responsibility, Team Building and personnel management, Research in natural resources management and socio economic studies, Project formulation and evaluation. Delivery of quality in a constructive manner based on technical quality and logic.  Working on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management since 2005.
