Joe McNulty

Joe McNulty is an Inspector of Police with the NSW Police Force's, Marine Area Command. Joe is the Regional Controller with business and contract responsibility for the NSW Police vessel fleet. He also manages the coastal marine police sectors, and coordinates maritime law enforcement operations along Australia's east coast. Joe has received two NSW Police Commissioner's Commendations. The first in 2003 for Command during the pursuit and capture of the North Korean vessel MV Pong Su. In 2008, he was awarded a second Commissioners Commendation for his work in the Design, Construction and Delivery of the 32m Police ocean patrol vessel, Nemesis.

In 2010 Joe completed his Master’s Degree in Maritime Policy at ANCORS. In 2013, Joe became an Honorary Fellow of UOW and supports the International Fisheries Law Masters students with the delivery of the Organised Crime in Fisheries lecture. Joe is a member of Interpol's, Fisheries Crime Working Group to identify and target organised crime within the Fisheries sector. Joe undertakes consultancy and advisory projects for several governments and international bodies.
